MX-5 Topical Solution is used in the treatment of hair growth and male pattern baldness. MX-5 Topical Solution has no effect in receding hairline and baldness at the front part of the scalp. About 2 percent of MX-5 Topical Solution is used in women who have thinning hair. MX-5 Topical Solution needs to be applied topically on the skin. It falls under a category of drugs known as vasodilators.

Mx5 Topical 5% Solution is an antihypertensive and is also used to promote hair growth. It is used only in males to prevent hair loss. It should be used for 3 to 4 months to see the hair growth. Any symptoms of scalp irritation or rash should be informed to the doctor.
